Miss Hannah Hasselquist is excited to be living out her dreams as co-owner of RDS! Born and raised in Paola, Hannah began her dance career at the age of 3 under the instruction of Nancy Oliver at Paola School of Dance. Under Nancy’s ownership, Hannah won many top national honors and choreography awards at a very young age.
After high school, Miss Hasselquist attended Benedictine College on a dance and theatre scholarship. In her 4 years at the college, she danced with the Raven Dance Team where she was captain of the team for 3 years, opened and ran the most successful student run business in the history of the college (Raven School of Dance), was a part of 3 conference titles and 3 consecutive years of top 5 rankings at NDA Nationals in Daytona, Florida.
Upon graduation, Hannah returned to her home studio to run the competition program where she has led the team to numerous national awards for costuming, choreography, sportsmanship, technique, and performance! In 2014, Hannah choreographed the highest scoring routine across the country for the Nexstar National Talent Competition and earned a free cruise. Since then, Hannah has led the team to several national titles and overall high points including 15 national titles from 8 National Talent and 7 from P3 Talent Competition. The team has performed all over the United States to earn high accolades, costume awards, choreography awards, entertainment awards, and more! Hannah has alumni that have gone on to national winning collegiate programs, professional dance companies, and performing art careers.
Her business background has come in handy in her dance background. Hannah is also a professional marketer who has won national awards for her graphic design and marking campaigns. She is thrilled to be able to use her expertise at the studio. She is a jack of all trades and also enjoys coaching the Paola High School Panther Dancers. She loves teaching and being a full-time dance educator. She and her husband, Max, also have two children: Monroe and Bowie.
Miss Misty Grayham is thrilled to be making a lifelong passion a reality as a co-owner of RDS. Misty started dance and cheer in middle school and immediately loved it! Cheer and dance in high school allowed her to perform on another level with an award winning team that won many competitions across the state and national levels.
After high school, Misty attended the University of Tennessee on academic and athletic scholarships where she cheered on the division 1A Co Ed Volunteers Cheer Squad for 3 years. The team made the finals all 3 years at the UCA College National Championship and was ranked one of the most accomplished cheer programs in the country. Misty graduated with a business degree.
She worked in the corporate world at three fortune 500 companies and then successfully managed a large construction company in Florida during her career. After getting married and moving to Kansas, she dedicated her time to being a stay at home Mom but never lost the passion for dance and cheer. After the kids got older, Misty decided to get back into cheerleading and became a High School Cheerleading Coach. Several alumni have received scholarships and gone on to cheer at a collegiate level. Misty currently enjoys coaching the dance team at Paola Middle School.
She is ready to put all of her skills and experience to work for you at RDS! She and her husband Aaron have three children, Taylor and twins Garrett and Ella along with one grand daughter Adalynn.
Jeremy (Jwrecks) Finney has been dancing since he could walk. With freestyle being his first exploration into dance, he has developed a style all his own. As the lead choreographer for the professional performance group TigerStyle!, his choreography has been seen across the nation. Jeremy has choreographed for companies like MTV, Radio Disney, Garmin, 95.7 The Vibe, Cumulous Broadcasting, Dallas Cowboys, and Brisk. He has directed and choreographed for Numerous Productions, flash mobs, Recording artists, short films, commercials, countless high school and collegiate dance teams and many others.
As a dancer, he has performed on America’s Best Dance Crew - the Live Tour, DiversCity!(2016-2019) MTV, as well as with many major recording artists like Tech N9ne, Talib Kweli, Big Scoob, Kris Love, Johmny Williamz, Pomeroy, Rev Run, Project X, Dolewite, VG, Volumen X, and Spaceballers.
He has been featured in many national commercials including some for NCAA, Garmin,Brisk and Iowa State Lottery, instant Credit Auto Sales. He is an accomplished Bboy and Freestyle HipHop dancer, having won and judged several competitions nationwide.
He has been featured in articles in Urban Times Magazine, Dance Studio life Magazine, Artists Magazine and along with TigerStyle was selected by Ink Magazine as one of Kansas Cities’ Hottest People Places or Things of 2010.
He is familiar with many forms of dance including Hip Hop, Popping, Locking, Bboying, House, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Modern. He incorporates these styles into his choreography.
He focuses on telling a story, moving inside the music, texture, and character. His natural groove, sense of musicality, creative movement, and technical attention to detail makes his choreography stand apart. His seamless transitions and smooth movements give his choreography an unpredictable flow. He believes that dance should come from the soul. It should be honest and original. It’s not always about how it looks, its about how it feels.
Ali was born and raised in Sycamore, IL. She began dancing at the age of five and started competing at age 11. Ali trained in all styles of dance, but is most proficient in ballet, contemporary, jazz, lyrical and pom. Throughout her 8 years of studio competitions she was recognized with various convention scholarships, as well as regional and national titles. While competing and training for herself, Ali began her career as a dance instructor while still in high school.
In May of 2019, Ali graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Sport and Recreation Management, Minor in Dance, as well as Certificates of Entrepreneurship and Event Planning. Throughout her four years at Iowa, she was a member of the Nationally Ranked Iowa Dance Team. Each year, Ali volunteered over 100 hours in the community, represented the university at NCAA sporting events across the country, taught youth and high school clinics, contributed to choreography of sideline routines, halftime performances, and UDA Camp routines, as well as served as Captain her senior year. Ali helped lead the team to several top placements at UDA College Nationals all four years, placing highest in 2017, with a 3rd Place finish in Division 1A Pom Finals, making school history.
Ali’s favorite part of teaching is watching her students grow as dancers and individuals. Ali is very excited to be on faculty at Reign Dance Studios!
Bobbi Foudree, a Kansas City area native, started her dance training with Kim Shope at Midtown School of Dance. She then went on to get her B.F.A. in dance from Stephens College in Columbia, Missouri. She spent her summers training at Nashville Ballet and School of Ballet Chicago. Ms Foudree started her career in New Hampshire with Northern Ballet Theater and in Massachusetts with Jennie and Company. Missing the Midwest, she returned to dance with Kacico dance, Reach a Movement Collective, Aha! Dance Theater, 940 Dance Company, The Smith Project, and is currently still performing and choreographing for City in Motion Dance Theater.
Ms. Foudree's greatest joy is teaching dance. She has had the amazing honor of educating dancers of truly all ages for over 15 years. She teaches a variety of styles including ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, musical theater, and tap. Ms. Foudree has had the honor of being a part of several excellent competition teams. With those teams her dances, and dancers, have won numerous top ten, national top ten, national title, judges awards, performance awards, teachnique awards, and choreography awards. Ms. Foudree takes pride in training dancers to be true performers as well as technicians. She wants to help train little artists to be their best selves in and out of the dance studio. Ms. Foudree is honored to be joining the Reign family and cannot wait to meet your little princesses and princes!
For the past 19 years, Cayla has lived and breathed dance. She is trained in several styles of dance but specializes in Jazz, Lyrical, and Musical Theater. Cayla has been on Competition Dance Teams since she was 4 years old. She found her passion for choreography during high school and began teaching her own routines at just 16 years old. Her choreographed routines have been regionally and nationally recognized with high point awards, scholarships, choreography awards, and national championships.
Throughout her dance experience, Cayla herself has received multiple regional and national championships for her own dance performances. She has also received numerous scholarships including AMDA and the New York Scholarship. Most recently she was hired to perform with the Grand Carnival dancers at Worlds of Fun. Cayla has danced with the Gardner High School Blazerettes throughout High School and the the Johnson County College Golden Girls!
Cayla is very excited to a staff member of Reign and to see her students grow and learn.
Miss Kendal Sullivan is no stranger to Reign Dance Studios! You may have seen her knock your socks off as an RDS alumni in our first ever graduating class.
Miss Kendal has performed professionally across the United States in a variety of genres. She is most proud of being a member of Mr. Jeremy's TigerStyle! Crew.
In addition, Miss Kendal already has made a name for herself on the dance competition stage as a noteworthy choreographer and continues to choreography stunning pieces for RDS.
Kendal is excited to be "home" and will push your dancers to new heights!
